Hyderabad gears up for Narendra Modi's Rs 5 ticket rally on Sunday.

Hyderabad is gearing up for Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP poll campaign panel chief Narendra Modi's first rally in the city since the formation of Telangana. The Gujarat Chief Minister is kicking off the BJP's poll campaign with a youth rally on Sunday.

With Modi coming to Hyderabad, the BJP is leaving no stone unturned to canvas for his first public meeting in the city. Online registrations, Twitter publicity and voluntary contribution of Rs 5 for the Uttarakhand victims are all being organised.

Bihar BJP leader wants Narendra Modi to contest LS poll from Nitish Kumar's home district.

A senior BJP leader on Sunday requested Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to contest from Nalanda Lok Sabha seat, which falls in Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's home district, in the next general elections.

 

"I have requested Modi to contest from Nalanda parliamentary seat in the home district of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as he (Modi) is likely to sail through by a massive margin by riding on popular wave in his favour," BJP national vice-president C P Thakur told reporters here.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch his re-election yatra on Monday.

 

But ahead of it, posters put up for the yatra include all national BJP leaders but not his rival Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

 

The posters depict LK Advani, party chief Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Chouhan will begin his yatra to seek a third term in office from Ujjain.

 

The yatra is aimed at mobilising the masses ahead of the state elections later this year. It will cover 224 Assembly constituencies.
