People
can compare my speech with Manmohan's on Independence Day: Modi.
In a dare to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ahead of the Independence Day, Gujarat Chief Minister has suggested that his speech on Thursday will be more worth listening to than Manmohan Singh's.
"India
will listen to two speeches - my speech from Lalan College in Bhuj and
the Prime Minister's speech at the Red Fort. The country will compare
the two speeches," Modi said.
Reacting
to Mod's remarks, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari
said the Gujarat Chief Minister should withdraw his remarks.
"You can't talk about the sacrosanct of the address
in such a cavalier manner. It's not just the people in India who listen
to it but also people all around the world who very carefully listen to
what the PM has to say," Tewari said.
Prime Minister in
his speech on the Red Fort on Thursday on the occasion of Independence
Day will lay stress on inclusive and inspiring growth and will talk
about the new India. The Prime Minister in his last speech before the
Lok Sabha elections in 2014 will also talk about UPA's achievements in
the last 10 years.
In
the wake of the recent attacks that have been taking place along the
LoC, the Prime Minister will be ascertaining India's stand on the issue.
His speech will reflect India's stand against the violence saying that
India cannot be taken for granted.
