No end to politics over Uttarakhand, now MP CM takes a dig at Modi.

Bhopal:

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted on Monday that while in Uttarakhand, his state's rescue teams not only rescued MP natives,

 

 they also helped pilgrims from "various states", taking a dig at his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi who was heavily criticised after reports of him rescuing 15,000 Gujaratis from the flood-hit state surfaced.

 

His tweet came even as sources said the Congress has advised its ministers and party leaders not to make comments against other parties and their leaders on Twitter.

As Uttarakhand is trying to come to terms with the unprecedented devastation caused by flash floods and landslides, the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party traded embarassing tweets on Monday.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari today hit out at the BJP Leaders of Opposition (LOP) Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley for not visiting calamity-hit Uttarakhand.

"H'onble LOP's have mindspace to critique govt proposals on CBI autonomy that are yet to be placed before SC but no time to visit Uttrakhand," he tweeted. Another tweet said, "Did anyone see LOP's in both houses express sympathy/visit disaster hit Uttrakhand This from a party that criticizes visits of. Cong leaders."

Rajnath Singh to flag-off relief materials for flood survivors in Uttarakhand.

Lucknow:

BJP President Rajnath Singh will flag off relief materials for flood survivors in Uttarakhand from Lucknow on Wednesday. "The national president would flag off relief materials and first installment of the fund collected by the party for calamity-hit Uttarakhand tomorrow," BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai said.

He said that the party was working on short and long term plan to provide relief to affected people in the state.

 

 "First BJP and RSS are providing immediate relief material including food grains, medicines, blankets, covers and fare to the people. Secondly, the party will work for the rehabilitation of the people," he said.
