Raajneeti got it right. Aarakshan messed it up midway. Chakravyuh looked like Prakash Jha was not even sure of what he was doing. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 India launch scheduled for September 25

A Samsung India spokesperson has confirmed to BGR India that India is among the list of countries where the Galaxy Note 3 will be launched in the first wave. “The global introduction is on September 25 and India is in the list of countries,” he said.

05TH IOC 1574285fIndia’s wait to get back to Olympic fold will be delayed further after the International Olympic Committee stuck to its stand on the charge sheet clause, clearly stating that the IOA has to adopt the above mentioned clause in order to ensure good governance.
In its Special General Body Meeting last month, the IOA had proposed a compromise formula to IOC’s directive asking it to bar charge sheeted persons from contesting elections.
According to the IOA proposal, the sanction will apply only to those officials who are convicted and sentenced to a jail term of more than two years.

NEW DELHI: Rajya Sabha was on Thursday adjourned for 15 minutes following uproar by SP and JD(U) members over charges against Narendra Modi by jailed IPS officer D G Vanzara.
SP and JD(U) members were on their feet shouting slogans the moment the House met for the day.
Deputy chairman P J Kurein asked them to take their seats so that a reference could be read out to pay tributes to former President and Rajya Sabha's first Chairman Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
After the reference, they moved into the aisles demanding that their notice for discussion on the issue be taken up.

Moily in doubt over amendment to RTI Bill, says timing not right: sources

Parliament150New Delhi: Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister M Veerappa Moily has expressed doubts over the amendment to the Right to Information Bill saying the timing may not be right, considering the poor perception about politicians, said sources. The amendment, aimed at keeping political parties out of the RTI ambit, is likely to be taken up by the Lok Sabha on Thursday.
The government and the Opposition seemed to be united on this issue and a Cabinet note said that as political parties are neither public bodies nor Constitutional bodies and they do not take government funds, hence should be kept out of the RTI loop.

AAP leader Yogendra Yadav hints at politics behind the UGC axe over AAP affiliation

yadav200New Delhi: Noted political scientist Yogendra Yadav is set to face the axe from the University Grants Commission (UGC).
As per reports on Thursday, the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development has issued a show-cause notice to Yadav, seeking his response within seven days on why he should not be removed from the post of member UGC.
In the notice issued yesterday, the ministry contended that since Yadav is now a senior leader of the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), he has a conflict of interest.

raghuram-rajanMumbai: The rupee rallied and shares surged on Thursday after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) chief unveiled a slew of measures to support the ailing currency and open markets, providing a shot of confidence for investors unnerved by the country's worst economic crisis in two decades.
The rupee rose as much as 2.3 per cent to 65.53 per dollar, well off the record low 68.85 hit on August 28.
